Legal
Privacy policy
This page is maintained by Fimlu to explain, in plain language, what information we hold and why.
Who this policy covers
Accounts on Fimlu belong to adults. We do not knowingly create accounts for children or ask children for personal information.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, so we can identify your library and contact you about orders.
- Order records: the book ordered, the amount, the order status and any payment proof you upload for review.
- Messages: anything you send us through the contact form, so we can reply.
How we use it
We use your information to run the shop: confirming orders, granting access to books you have bought, answering your questions and keeping records required for accounting.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Where it is stored
Data is stored in our managed cloud backend. Files such as payment proofs and book files are kept in private storage and served only through short-lived, signed links to people entitled to see them.
Who can see your data
You can see your own profile, orders and library. Our administrators can see order and message records in order to review payments and provide support. Access rules are enforced in the database itself, not only in the app.
How long we keep it
Account, order and message records are kept while your account is active and for as long as we are required to retain transaction records. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
Your choices
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your account and personal data.
